There has been an increase in bike theft. While using a quality lock is the best prevention, a good way to help recover a stolen bike is to register the bike.  Bicycle registration can be done in 2 ways in the City of Minneapolis.

1.   The bike owner can call 311 with your contact information, bicycle serial number (located on bottom of crank shaft or on the fork supporting the handle bars), and other basic information. You only need to register once unless you need to update contact information or bicycle details.

2.   Go on line to http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/bicycles to register each bike.
