At Lake Harriet, we are excited to kick off another year of collecting hats and mittens for a local non-profit called “Hats & Mittens.”  Hats & Mittens’ mission is to warm the bodies and hearts of adults & kids everywhere.  This starts by providing free hats and mittens to those in need during the cold winter months.  What you can do:  Bring new or gently used hats and mittens to school.  All sizes are encouraged, waterproof is fantastic & scarves are welcome.  At the Upper campus, your student can find a collection box near the office.  At the Lower campus your student can find a box at the main entrance and at the MPLS Kids’ entrance.   We will be collecting until Dec. 18th.  If you have any questions, please contact Cindy Horgan or go to hatsandmittens.org Thank you for all your support!!!
