Our PTA Membership Chair caught up with Wendy Frantz, Health and Physical Education teacher at Lake Harriet Upper.
What is your role at LHCS and how long have you been with the school?
4 years so far- middle school health and 4/5 PE
How would you like students to address you?
Ms Frantz.
Please share a little about yourself:
My home town is San Clemente, CA. I went to St Olaf College. I have 4 kids and a dog and cat. My favorite food is Mexican!!!
What do you love about working with kids?
Kids bring energy enthusiasm that adults forget they can still have. They appreciate important things about each other, like who is nice and who makes them feel important.
How has the PTA supported you?
The PTA has supplied my classes with amazing field trips: to a Ninja gym and high ropes course, provided both health and PE with equipment that makes lessons better, and been very supportive of the teachers!
Do you have any hobbies or special interests outside of the classroom?
I qualified for the United Ninja Athletics Association World Series last year in my age group. It was in Las Vegas and cancelled, so I automatically qualify this year! I also coach and ref high school soccer and lacrosse, and I play the harp for special occasions.
