Anita Kangas has announced her retirement as a kindergarten teacher from Lake Harriet Lower. Ms. Kangas has spent 21 years as a classroom teacher. Her last six years as a teacher has been with us at Lake Harriet Lower. She shared that it was a difficult decision, but due to health concerns, she determined that it was necessary to retire now.
We are fortunate to welcome Nathan Tensen Woolery as our reserve teacher until we hire our new kindergarten teacher. Mr. Woolery has taught in our building in multiple classrooms and roles. He has the necessary experience with our students, community, and curriculum to create a strong transition between teachers.
