Southwest FTC is a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics club at Southwest High School

Targeting middle schoolers planning to attend Southwest. We're looking for 7th or 8th grade students (or mature 6th graders) ready for the next challenge beyond Lego Robotics. Registrations for 2018-19 are due September 7th; Click the registration link to sign up.

In FTC students explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through hands-on learning in robotics. Teams of 5 - 10 design, build, and program a robot to compete in a sports-like event. Students gain valuable teamwork experience through real-life STEM applications, as well as in marketing, documentation, public speaking, and community outreach.

Informational sessions will be held Thursday August 30th and September 6th in the Southwest Commons (47th and Beard): drop by between 6:30 - 8:30 pm to see existing teams at work and get questions answered in person.
