Dear Kindergarten family:
Welcome to the 2014-15 school year! I am excited for you to come to school and look forward to meeting all of you. My name is Merry Tilleson and I am the new principal. The staff here at Lower is ready to excite and challenge you and we are all here to help you to have a great school year. I want you to know that our school is very full and we do have a waiting list. We have tried to place as many of our neighborhood students as possible. This is our first year post construction and we will be making a few minor changes and adjustments so please watch for information that will be placed in the school’s electronic newsletter.
Be sure to plan on coming to the Open House/Ice Cream Social in the evening of Tuesday August 19th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This is your chance to sign up for conferences in your child’s classroom, meet your teacher, see the school, buy school spirit wear and have a frozen ice cream treat on the playground before going home.
At the bottom of this letter, you will see your teacher and classroom listed. When you come to school this year you will meet lots of new people and make lots of new friends, please come to visit me. Remember that the first day of school for all Kindergarten students is Wednesday August 27th.
