Are you looking for a way to be more involved in the LHCS community? Have ideas about how to make our school even better? Consider serving on the Lake Harriet Site Council. It's a great opportunity to get involved and serve our school and our kids. The Site Council is a group of engaged parents, staff, and community members who meet one evening a month (typically the 3rd Tuesday) to provide recommendations on issues that impact our school. Each member serves on one of four sub-committees, which also meet monthly and often have small tasks to do to move the work of the Site Council forward. Members represent the interests of all Lake Harriet students and parents and serve as a vital communication link to school administration and staff. There are open positions for both parent and community members.

Members serve for two-year terms, with the option of serving a third year. Site Council focuses on areas such as STEM, family involvement, budgeting, talent development and other directions of our school. For more information please read the Site Council web pages  and/or contact any current member of the Council.   Starting Wednesday, April 23 we will be taking applications.  If you are interested, please fill out the online form (active 4/23).  Deadline: Applications will be reviewed by May 13th.  New members will be invited to the May 20th Council meeting.
