Dear Lake Harriet School Community,

      We are preparing to begin the process of selecting a permanent principal for Lake Harriet. An important part of this process involves acquiring your feedback on the characteristics that will make a successful principal for the school. Your feedback will be incorporated into the principal job description and posting. In addition, your feedback will assist the selection team in choosing the best candidate to serve its students, staff, and community.

      We will begin accepting applications for the position in March, and candidates will participate in a rigorous selection process between March and May. This spring, we will be inviting the school community to help select the final candidate. Our goal is to have the position filled before the end of the school year.

      You are invited to attend the meeting that has been set up to gather parent feedback or complete a survey to offer your insights into what makes Lake Harriet school unique and what you want in a leader. We anticipate the written survey will take about five to ten minutes to complete.  Our goal is to have all surveys submitted by March 11th.
