Dear Lake Harriet Community,

After another senseless act of school violence, our hearts are heavy with sadness and worry.   We want to take a moment to assure our Lake Harriet community that student and staff safety is our top priority.  Lake Harriet Community School reviews safety and security procedures regularly and follows consistent systems to ensure our staff members are prepared to handle crisis situations and provide students with support. Our staff members are trained in our procedures and students participate in emergency drills at least five times a year.  Updated safety drill and evacuation site information can be found on our school website at http://lakeharriet.mpls.k12.mn.us/Drills
