Fall conferences is an opportunity for us to partner together and dialogue about academic and social emotional areas. Each teacher will give provide a glimpse into each learner’s strengths and growth areas by creating a “learner portrait.” The purpose of fall conferences is to center on student strengths and assets so that all stakeholders (family, caregiver, teacher(s), other school personnel) have a shared understanding of the best support possible for a student. We also want to hear about each student’s experience with distance learning so far. If you need technical assistance during conferences, email your teacher. You can also call the main office for support.

Here are some potential questions to consider prior to your learner’s conference:
  • What would you like us to know about your child? What are his/her strengths and interests?
  • What have you learned about your child so far in distance learning? What has surprised you?
  • How has the workload been for your child?
  • What support do you need or would like to see?
  • How has our communication gone so far this year?

We look forward to meeting with you and continuing our partnership as we navigate unprecedented times together. Success this year requires vulnerability, courage, compassion, and kindness more than ever before.
