Thursday, February 5th - 6:30 – 8:00 PM Family Night at Lower Campus with Author Lori Evert. Join Anja, the star of the New York Times Bestseller, The Christmas Wish! Anja and her family, author Lori Evert, and photographer, Per Breiehagen, will share a short multi-media presentation about their books, then read and sign copies of their new book, The Tiny Wish. There will be “Tiny Wish activities” following the presentation.

Friday, February 6th – Kids go to school dressed as their favorite literary character. Students K-5, teachers, and staff are invited to dress up as their favorite literary character or feel free to channel your inner explorer. Who will you be? Jacques Cousteau (Marine Biologist), Laura Ingalls Wilder, Karen Nyberg (MN Astronaut), Miss Frizzle, Sir Edmund Hillary (Mountain Climber), Pippi Longstocking, or Cat in the Hat?
The school asks that the costumes be safe, fun and appropriate. Students should leave masks and violent type costumes/accessories at home.

Sunday, February 8th, 12-5 Book Fair at Wild Rumpus Sunday, February 8 - 12:00 – 5:00pm
“Get Up and Go” to the Book Fair at Wild Rumpus in Linden Hills! Stock up on a few good books to read during Read-a-Thon and help our school at the same time. The PTA will receive 20% of in-store sales for the day.

Feb 26th and 27th – Book Sale at Upper Campus (more info/details to come from the Book Sale Coordinator Sherri Williams)
As part of the Read-a-thon, there will be a Used Book Sale February 26 & 27 at the Upper Campus! As a fundraiser for the Media Center, we are asking for your gently used book donations. This is a great chance to thin out your books and get them in the hands of other kids! Books are being collected now through Monday, February 23. Please bring your donations to the Upper Campus Media Center and place them in the specially marked box. We need Middle Reader/Young Adult fiction and non-fiction books, cookbooks and art & craft books less than 10 years old. Please no torn pages or covers and no colored or marked pages. Books should be appropriate for grades 4-8. Please contact Sheri Williams if you have any questions.
