Please join us on Sunday, October 27th from 1-4 at the Upper Campus to make blankets for My Very Own Bed. This is an all ages event (parents and students) where we will be making fleece tie blankets and cards for My Very Own Bed to distribute as part of their dream kits.
My Very Own Bed is a local non-profit that delivers new twin beds and bedding to Twin Cities children whose parents have recently secured permanent housing. A dream kit consists of a set of new twin sheets, pillowcase, blanket, book, stuffed animal and a hand drawn card. These are delivered with the beds to help kids get a good night’s sleep. We will also be hosting a sheet drive at both campuses this month to collect new twin sheets and mattress pads for My Very Own Bed. Donation boxes will be located at both campuses beginning this Thursday until the 27th. In addition, you can help by shopping at the Linden Hills Co-op during the month of October and rounding up your bill. All donations will benefit MVOB. We will need lots of fleece to make blankets.
