School Meal Boxes Now Available
Thursday, October 1, 2020 5:15 AM

School Meal Box Pick-Up is now available for ALL Minneapolis Public Schools Students. Menus are posted on Fridays for the following week and can be found here.
This week has blueberry waffles, sweet & sour chicken, pizza, plums, and more! And to celebrate the start of October as National Farm to School Month, meal boxes include beautiful, #local watermelon radishes from Open Hands Farm, in addition to #FarmtoSchool carrots and apples. Throughout the month, they will be serving Farm to School items in the meal boxes – including local apples for the Great Lakes Apple Crunch (Oct 8) and a local, MN Thursday Meal (Oct 22).
This is a service available to all families. Even though your family may not need the food, it's important for the district that people are actually picking up the food. This program helps keep Mpls Food Services open to all families across the district and keeps the employees working as well.
It’s also important to know that many families in our school district are food insecure. There are wonderful organizations working to fight hunger in our community. If you are able, please consider donating to one of these great programs:
