Congratulations to all the LH seventh graders who qualified for MN History Day at the U of M, Sat. May 3; we are so proud of you! These Lake Harriet students were recognized at the final awards ceremony for their exceptional entries: Jocie C. won First Place for her Individual Performance: The Right to Life: Ann Bilansky's Influence on Minnesota's Death Penalty Laws. Jocie will represent Minnesota at National History Day in June in DC. Alora G. and Bella P. won Fourth Place for their Group Website: Rights and Responsibilities: Eleanor Roosevelt and the D.A.R. Alycia T. earned an honorable mention for her Individual Documentary: Rights and Responsibilities: The Cherokee Nation and the Trail of Tears.
