Dear Lake Harriet Community School families:

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year.  It was so great to say hello and meet so many of you at the kindergarten picnic on August 14^thand at the Open House/Ice Cream Social on August 23^rd.  Myself along with the staff at Lower have worked hard to get the building ready for you and we are ready to start another new year.

 I don’t know about you but I love the first day of school… all of the smiles and excitement as we meet new teachers and new friends.  We have many great things planned this school year and we can’t wait to share them with you.  Please make sure you sign up for fall conferences with your child’s classroom teacher if you haven’t already done so.  I always encourage you to share your hopes and dreams for your child with your child’s teacher.  Help us to get to know your child and all of the specialness they will bring to the classroom.  In addition, make sure that you sign up on the school’s web page to get our weekly newsletters.  This is where you will gather most of the school’s communication.

In closing, I want to thank you all for making me smile.  I can’t stop thanking you for your continued kindness and caring this past spring.  It carried me through my family’s tragedy and continues to do so.  What a true blessing to be part of the Lake Harriet Community School family☺
