Hi, I am Patsy Rederer, the Adapted Physical Edcuation Teacher for the Lake Harriet Upper and Lower Campuses. I am excited to teach at the Lake Harriet campus! I attended the Minneapolis Public schools and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where I attained a Bachelors and a Masters Degree.

 TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching DAPE and Physical Education in the Minneapolis Public Schools since 1990. I spent the first 15 years at Ramsey Fine Arts Center teaching DAPE to the Autism students and middle grades PE. I then moved on to North High and Cityview schools teaching Adapted Physical Education, working with students having a wide variety of disablities. I developed a Physical Education picture library for the District's DAPE teachers to use with students who use picture communication systems. I currently work at 5 schools in the district.

 PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy of teaching is that all students can learn, some just learn differently than others or at different rates. We are all unique. My goal this year, is to help students with their goals and objectives, and to work in collaboration with the general physical education teachers so I can pre-teach skills for curricular units, aiding in the success of students in the general PE setting and with their peers and family in the community.
