Kindergarten

Kindergarten is where children should fall in love with school and the life-long adventure of learning. We want our students to feel safe, nurtured and confident as they move into a new wider world of friends and teachers. The Lower Campus at Lake Harriet is small, intimate and deliberately designed for young students—making it a wonderful place for that all-important kindergarten year.

Kindergarten students learn to work and play independently, and in small and large groups. Our teachers focus their students on learning how to listen, take turns, play fair and be kind to each other. Kindergarten is also where children take their first steps towards formal learning. But because they are still our youngest students, our teaching is low-key, hands-on and fun.
