THIRD GRADE WEBSITE
We send a weekly math homework (2-sided) on Monday, which is due Friday. We print a few extras and keep them in the homework bin on our classroom door in case of a periodic lost homework. :) If your child is not successful getting it home in one piece, there is a link above in case of EMERGENCY on Thursday night! ~ Thanks, Ms. Liepitz & Ms. Zeltinger
Please sign up for ONE time slot. We will share student success and goal setting for all subjects. No need to sign up for a conference with their block 2 teacher. We encourage students to attend their conference with you as they will help lead the discussion.

I live with my husband and two daughters (3rd and 6th graders) in SW Minneapolis very close to where I grew up. I'm excited to meet you!

Dear Parents,
We cannot teach responsibility without giving responsibility to our students. I am excited to tell you about an important initiative in our classroom in which we will create our own organic mini society (Micro for short) during our homeroom time three days per week. I have been teaching this program for the past 9 years and implemented a mini-society with great success for the past 6 years at Lake Harriet. Ms. Jorde joined me with the program last year and will continue this year as well. We will first establish a class government, then slowly launch more micro jobs within ventures and agencies. This micro program will motivate students, teach vital hands-on social studies, mathematics and communication skills, and link learning to real life applications. Students will not forget their experiences for years to come!
