How YOU can support the Lake Harriet Community School PTA
Through your contributions and support, the LHCS PTA has year-to-year been able to achieve the goal of
enrichment, education and experience
for students, starting in Kindergarten right though 8
th
grade.
Each year, the PTA turns to YOU, our community of parents and friends, to achieve our goal of $200 in contributions per LHCS family. All money raised goes directly to your student’s experience at LHCS.
What does YOUR support of the PTA bring to LHCS? Many of the activities and experiences that make your student’s school day special are funded only by the LHCS PTA.
Imagine your student’s school life without the activities that open their world.
That’s what your LCHS PTA is here to do – make that difference.
Here’s a short list of activities supported by the PTA:
Field Trips
STEM Curriculum materials
UC/LC Media Center
Accelerated Reading
STEM
ALPHA
Classroom Stipend for each teacher - Increased this year to help with Distance Learning
Mid West Food Connection
Chess Club
Math Counts
Science Fair
… and so much more
One goal, many ways to get there
In 2020-2021, the PTA has designed many ways for you to support the cause. The choice is yours.
All we ask for is your support
to reach our goal of $200 per family.
Annual Pledge Drive
– 100% of Pledge Drive contributions go directly to the LHCS PTA. 100% tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Can be pledged many times – no limit to number or total of contributions. Additionally, your contribution is often multiplied through corporate/matching gifts. If you look for efficiency in your giving, this is for you.

The Read-A-Thon
- The Read-A-Thon gives students a chance to help their school doing what they do best! If you’d like to contribute in a way that celebrates LHCS students’ skills, this is for you.
Spring Carnival
– The Spring Carnival is an event that all students look forward to. A fun night for our kids and our community. ALL are welcome. For more information click

Parties Galore
