Both Upper and Lower campus have Extended Day K-8 programs that provide after-school programming in the areas of math, literacy, and science for students needing additional gains in academics. Math/Literacy classes are taught by licensed teachers (usually Lake Harriet teachers) after school two days per week throughout the school year (usually starting in October). GISE/GEMS classes are also ALC programs that challenge students to apply their math and science skills. Students work in teams to design, build and compete in First Lego League activities. Competitions involve both Lego robotics and academic research centering around a different annual theme of study. The ALC program at the Lower Campus is called ASA (After School Adventures) and it takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 - 5:25.
