An FYI from Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) regarding the re-opening of France Ave S.:

The revised schedule from our contractor calls for installing a layer of asphalt on France Ave. today and another layer on Thursday, installing the iron manhole castings on Friday, and installing the top and final layer of asphalt next Monday or Tuesday. The goal is to re-open France Ave. by next Wednesday, Oct. 15. Be aware, though, that the schedule is dependent on weather and paving contractor availability, and is subject to change.
