Join your neighbors on Earth Day, Saturday April 21 8:30 AM - Noon for the Southwest Community Earth Day Clean Up. Participants of all ages are welcome to celebrate and improve our natural urban environment! We will meet at Southwest High School for refreshments, to see presentations on environmental topics, and get ready to get cleaning. Groups will then set out on foot or bike to take care of our natural areas including Lake Harriet and farther-out parks on the Southside. Bus transportation is available from Southwest to each cleanup area. Participants are welcome to enjoy a free picnic-style lunch and each other’s company after the event.
