PTA
Hello Lake Harriet Families! On behalf of the LHCS PTA, welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!

We would like to extend a special welcome to new students and families joining us this year for kindergarten or coming from other schools across the district and beyond. We look forward to, hopefully, a bit more normalcy this school year and a return to some of our traditional fundraisers and events. We would like to extend sincere gratitude to our outgoing PTA President, Anne Thielen. After years of volunteering in many leadership roles in the PTA and school, Anne served as our PTA President for the past year and her tenure was cut short due to CDD boundary changes. We are grateful for the significant time, effort and contributions she made over the past several years. We wish her all the best and look forward to meeting up again at Anthony Middle School.

We have been appointed Co-Presidents for the 2021-2022 school year. We have both served in various positions on the PTA and/or Site Council and in numerous capacities at LHCS over the past 10 years. We look forward to continuing the commitment to excellence as a PTA as we build on the strong foundation created by an active and engaged parent, teacher and school community.

Last Tuesday marked our first in person PTA meeting since March 10, 2020! Thank you to all the parents and teachers who attended - we had a great turnout. We hope you consider joining us for a meeting, an open position or as a volunteer in some capacity. One of the things that makes LHCS great is the high level of engagement from our families, teachers, principals and staff. We look forward to welcoming new faces, ideas and traditions as we develop our identity as a K-5 school serving Linden Hills and Fulton neighborhoods.

Best wishes this school year,

Kate Kerfoot & Melissa Taney, Co-Presidents lhcspta@gmail.com
