The LHCS Flag Football team claimed the city title last Thursday night by defeating Field Middle School in overtime, 32-26.  The game was played under the lights at Washburn High School and is the school's first ever football championship.  Way to go, Dragons!

The team ended conference play with a 4-2 record.  They defeated Olson in the first round of the city tournament, 48-24, on Oct.13.  They went on to beat previously-undefeated Ramsey 52-20 in the 2nd round game on October 20.  Anne Sullivan fell to the Dragons in round three, 24 -6, setting them up for the championship game vs. undefeated Field.  The game was tied up by Field at the end of regulation play, and the Dragons showed a lot of grit and heart to pull off the win in overtime.  The team was coached by James Parker.

LHCS Volleyball also recently completed a successful season.  The A team finished conference play with a strong 5-1 record.  They headed into tournament play on October 20, recording a solid first round victory over Keewaydin (25-4, 25-22).  They fell in the 2nd round in a hard fought battle with Anthony and ended the season with the 3rd best record in the conference.  The A team was coached by Kevin Steiner.  Great job, Dragons! 

The Volleyball B team finished their season earlier this month with a strong win over Keewaydin.  Congratulations on a great season. They were coached by Richard Sisson and Lorna Wilson.
