Open House/Ice Cream Social and Curriculum Nights
These will occur just before or at the very beginning of the school year.  Each campus hosts an open house and/or curriculum night.  Open houses are usually just before school starts and every effort is made to get each grade a Curriculum Night very early in the year (usually mid-September).   We try to meet the needs of everyone through some combination of curriculum presentations, meeting your teachers and classmates and maybe even socializing, as well as a middle grades orientation for the 6th grade.  There will be an opportunity to sign up for parent/teacher conferences too.   Information will be available through the LHCS News, LHCS Website and a letter sent to families in mid-August regarding their student's classroom assignment.

Parent -Teacher Communication
Throughout the school year, please direct any questions or concerns to your child’s classroom teacher. After doing so if the issue is still not resolved, please contact the principal. Email addresses for teachers are available on this website under Classrooms and Support Staff, or on each teacher's page.  Parent-teacher conferences are held every fall for all students. Conference sign ups occur during the August open house or through individual communication with teachers.

More information about teacher-parent communication can be found in the Student Handbook. The handbook is given to each family at the beginning of the year that contains information about school policies and much more.
