Several MPS students will be impacted with the additional activities brought to Minneapolis by the Super Bowl.

You should have received an email and phone call from MPS Superintendent Ed Graff with important Super Bowl information. If you haven't had a chance to review them yet, I encourage you check them out as they include important information about what's happening districtwide to prepare for this event and the impact it will have on our schools.

Minneapolis Public Schools are keeping our focus on learning and working to ensure student safety while the Super Bowl is in town from Jan. 29 to Feb. 5. We invite you to be partners with us in this effort. We've provided some helpful tips to use as resources when talking with your student and traveling around town during this time. If you see something suspicious, say something. Together, we can make sure this exciting time remains safe for all.

We would also like to remind families our standard attendance policy applies during this time. In order to be counted as an excused absence, you must provide notification to the school either in writing or by calling the attendance line at your campus.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns you have. Thank you
