Middle School Parents Once again, it’s that time of the year for the Lake Harriet Barnebirkie Ski Trip. This is my 20th year of putting together this fun filled trip for 52 middle grade students. Again, we will visit Bayfield Public School, swim at the Bayfield Recreation Center, partake in a traditional Native American meal, attend movies in Ashland Wisconsin, visit the Lake Superior visitor’s center and finally race in the Barnebirkie Ski Race. Because there are openings for only 52 students, some students will be unable to attend. We do our best to accommodate as many middle grades students as possible every year. However, with are large number of middle school students, it’s impossible to do. 47 8th grade students have asked to attend this year, with opening for only 26 8th graders. With the help of the classroom teachers, we will do our best in choosing the students. I thought it would be best to let you all know ahead of time.
