Last year LHCS held a very successful food drive that supported The Sheridan Story (TSS), a local initiative that works to close the weekend food gap for children who live in food insecurity. We are excited to make another contribution to TSS!

TSS has provided us with a list of items that will most directly benefit their work. Please select from the following items and be sure the expiration date is more than 6 months from now - so 6/15/2015 or later.

  • Canned: Chunk Chicken or Tuna  (6 oz. and under)

  • Canned: Fruit  (16 oz. and under)

  • Canned: Vegetable  (16 oz. and under)

  • Canned: Beans / Chili / Ravioli  (16 oz. and under)

  • Canned: Soup / Stew  (16 oz. and under)
  • Boxed or Bag: Pasta / Rice / Beans (ex. pinto beans) / Lentils  (16 oz. and under)

We will be collecting food until December 17th.  Please have your child bring donations to their homeroom/advisory at Upper Campus. There will be a central location defined at Lower Campus.

We encourage you to view a video provided by The Sheridan Story to better understand how our donation impacts the lives of children.  https://vimeo.com/111170391.

Thank-you! We look forward to making a significant donation to TSS! Please direct questions to Carolyn Evans, evans039@umn.edu, 612-396-4149
