Wow, our GEMS year is flying by! The robotics portion of the curriculum was a huge success. It culminated in a district wide tournament at Sullivan School, January 16th, with many of the girls winning awards. There were three main categories for them to compete in--Design on The Spot, Robot Programming and Design, and the Mystery Challenge.

Next up, the girls will be exploring the science and engineering of flight! The students will start by designing and building a simple straw rocket. I am looking forward to continued success with the GEMS students. I encourage anyone who is interested in what we are doing to stop in and check it out anytime.
