When the portables were taken down, there was supposed to be a continuous black fence around the perimeter of our playground. When the fence started to go up, the fencing company realized that we were short black fencing so it had to be ordered to finish the job and therefore the wait began. On October 13th Principal Tilleson received word from Action Fence that the fence should be in soon but we still do not have a date.
Principal Tilleson also received word that same day from the facilities department that the surfacing material under the play apparatus will be replaced. The districts health and safety levy for this summer will allow for buildings and grounds to come out and remove the sand surface and replace it with a rubber material.
Good news…safety first!
