The LHCS MATHCOUNTS Club held its annual School Competition on Monday, January 23rd, giving students the opportunity to challenge themselves with some fun mathematical problems.

Sophia S and Peregrine T achieved the highest scores this year, followed closely by by Calvin G, Phoenix F, Dmitry P, Samantha N, Erik A, Jonas G, Jasper R, and Nathan W. All were invited to the Chapter competition held at the U of M on Friday, February 3rd. A fun time was had by all; in the end Dmitry P and Peregrine T tied for 5th place overall against some very strong competition!

We also wrapped up this year's Minnesota Junior High Math League season by winning the fourth place team trophy for the second year in a row. This is particularly impressive considering that four new schools joined MNJHML in our division this year.
