Scholastic Book Fair THIS WEEK Friday, Nov 1 and *new* Saturday, Nov 2

Everyone loves the Book Fair and this year, it's bigger and better than ever!  We will have a Fair at both Upper and Lower campuses on Friday 7:30 am - 8 pm and Saturday 9 am - 2 pm. 

And NEW - visit our Snack Shack for a treat and a chance to dig into your new books! Find the Snacks in the Cafeteria at LC and the Media Center at UC.  

Teachers at both campuses have created a "wish list" of books they would love to have in their classrooms and media center.  If parents and friends feel so inclined, they can purchase a book for their child's classroom.

- Lower Campus - look for teacher wish lists at the book fair and support your student's class!

- Upper Campus  - look for teacher wish lists on Thursday and at the book fair.

As always, book fair proceeds go to each media center based on students at each campus.  The media personnel then decide to purchase books or other materials for the media center. 

Please consider volunteering for the book fair. It is a really fun event and a great way to show your support! Sign up online.

Let's Build Our UC Media Center - With Discounts from Scholastic!

This year a group of parents are working with Scholastic to bring even more new and exciting books into our UC Media Center. The UC staff have prepared a list of books they'd like to see in the Media Center and are asking LHCS parents for help to make our Media Center a destination for readers, adding everything from recent teen fiction to graphic novels to engineering and design books.  If you'd like to help, consider buying books or a gift certificate from the staff's wish list - either on-line or at the Fair.  For each book purchased, Scholastic will bonus our school 50% of the dollar value - this is our chance to make it happen!  ALL PURCHASES ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE AS A DONATION TO LHCS.  Let's do this!
