March 12 – 16. Lake Harriet Lower and Upper are joining together this year to collect food for the hungry. Please bring in your non-perishable donations. Barrels will be near the office and the bus entrance at each location. Last year, the Lower Campus filled 20 barrels which totaled 3,000 pounds of food! As a result, The Food Group provided 2,500 meals to hungry Minnesotans. How much will we collect together? We also created theme days for fun: Good Morning Monday (breakfast-related items), Make It Tasty Tuesday (ie: seasonings), Whole Grain Wednesday, Dinner Table Thursday (ie: canned chicken/tuna, canned/dried beans), Canned Veggie and Fruit Friday.
