Lake Harriet Community School (LHCS) Site Council is currently seeking new parent representatives for the 2015-16 school year. The Site Council is the school’s site leadership team. As the advisory and planning body for LHCS, it is a forum for staff and parents to provide direction to the administration and to enhance student achievement. Parent members represent the interests of all Lake Harriet students and parents and serve as a vital communication link to school administration and staff. There are open positions for both parent and community members. Members serve a two-year term, with an optional third term. All Site Council members serve on a subcommittee with a specific focus. Some areas that the Site Council have concentrated on in the past include School Communications, Academics and STEM, and Equity and Diversity. Be involved, make a difference.
