New this year the upper campus will have a buddy program that pairs an older student with a younger one.  The purpose of this program is to build relationships between students, build a sense of community and responsibility in the school, and have fun getting to know new people.  Advisories from the upper grades 7 & 8 will meet advisories from grades 4/5 and each student will have a "buddy" (the numbers don't match up exactly, but we will work to make sure everyone finds a buddy).  Grade 6 will hopefully establish a penpal relationship with a 3rd grade buddy and have the opportunity to meet once or twice later in the school year.

The buddies are starting this week by working on a display to represent their groups during our first school pride parade/assembly to be held this Friday, September 4 at 3:40 in the gym/playground.  Parents are welcome to attend.  Groups will continue to meet at least once a month with activities to be designed by the student leadership groups.  If you have any questions please contact the upper office.
