Come one, come all to the new and improved Upper Campus Media Center open house on Thursday, November 20 from 5:30-6:30pm!!

Thanks to a PTA grant and a dedicated group of volunteers, we are creating an inviting library space for reading, working, and researching, and many new books are on the way. There will be live piano music and popcorn, a book signing (at 5:30pm) by Elizabeth Foy Larsen, author of Unbored Games (and Principal Schleisman's wife!), and a brief presentation of online search tips for kids and parents (at 6:00pm). Book checkout to students during this event is allowed and smiled upon!

Thank you Jane Greenberg, Judy Jasperson, Kristin Nilsen, Amy Tibbs, and Sheri Williams for having the commitment and vision to create a media center worth visiting at the Upper Campus. Thank you LHCS PTA for providing the funds to make this space more functional and welcoming to students and teachers. And thank you to the parent volunteers who staff the media center weekly, and to the volunteer worker-bees who cleaned, painted, and provided the elbow grease that helped make this transformation happen.
