Online Application For Site Council

How can you make Lake Harriet even better? Consider serving on the Lake Harriet Site Council. It's a unique opportunity to get involved and serve our school and our kids. The Site Council is a group of engaged parents, staff, and community members who meet one evening a month (typically the third Tuesday) to provide recommendations on issues that impact our school. Members represent the interests of all Lake Harriet students and parents and serve as a vital communication link to school administration and staff.

There are six open positions for parent representatives beginning with the 2021-22 school year.  Parent representatives serve for a three-year term. In addition to attending the monthly Site Council meetings, Site Council members serve on a subcommittee with a specific focus. These subcommittees typically meet once a month. Some areas that the Site Council have concentrated on in the past include Academics, CDD, STEM, and Equity and Diversity.  For more information please read the Site Council pages on the website link and/or contact any current member of the Council, listed here.
